Managing Director

Bruce brings extensive experience in leading large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. As a Chartered Accountant with a background in finance, he ensures that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Bruce excels at leading diverse teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing all aspects of the construction process, including risk management, procurement, and contract negotiations. His financial expertise and strategic problem-solving drive successful project outcomes.​​​​

Chris Edwards

Project Director

Chris Edwards brings over 20 years of experience across New Zealand’s construction industry, with senior leadership roles at South Base Construction and Leehan, and earlier experience with Fletcher Construction. As Project Director, he provides strong leadership from planning through to delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets, and quality standards are met. He works closely with clients, consultants, and site teams to manage risk, resolve issues early, and keep projects running smoothly. Known for his practical approach and calm decision-making.

Stuart Brown

Commercial Manager

Stuart Brown is the Commercial Manager at Leehan Construction, bringing a chartered accountancy background and strong commercial expertise. He oversees financial and commercial performance across projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting. Stuart works closely with project and site teams to manage contracts, procurement, and risk, ensuring projects are commercially sound and well governed. With a sharp eye for detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach, he supports informed strong commercial outcomes.​

David Han

Operation Manager

David has extensive experience overseeing construction operations across medium to large-scale projects, ensuring consistent delivery, performance, and quality. He specialises in planning, programme and budget control, compliance, and stakeholder management to deliver on time and to a high standard. As Operations Manager, he leads site and project teams and oversees procurement, contracts, risk, and reporting. Known for his strategic mindset and problem-solving ability, he drives efficiency and strong outcomes.

Jay Jung

Site Manager

Jay is our Site Manager, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. With extensive experience in site management, he leads on-site teams, coordinates subcontractors, and ensures all work aligns with project specifications and safety standards. Jay’s hands-on approach, clear communication, and strong leadership ensure efficient operations and contribute to the smooth, successful delivery of each project.​​​​​​​​​​​

Paul Zhuang

Site Manager
 

Paul, a Licensed Building Practitioner, has extensive experience managing multiple scale construction projects from start to finish. He specialises in project management, budget control, and regulatory compliance, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. As leading our separate residential division, Paul leads teams, coordinates stakeholders, and oversees construction, including risk, procurement, and contracts. Known for his strategic mindset and problem-solving skills, he consistently delivers successful outcomes.​

Alex Kang

Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

Alex Kang is our Quantity Surveyor, supporting commercial and cost control across all Leehan entities. He prepares detailed cost estimates, manages budgets, and oversees contract administration to ensure strong financial oversight across our projects. Alex works closely with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain cost certainty and support efficient delivery. His attention to detail, reliability, and strong commercial understanding make him a key part of our team.

Emma Joo

Site Engineer
 

Emma supports project delivery by coordinating design, engineering, and construction information, ensuring documentation and communication are accurate and up to date. She works closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, consultants, and subcontractors to manage project records, track approvals, and support construction sequencing and site coordination. With strong attention to detail and a proactive approach, Emma helps keep programmes on track and ensures works are delivered to specification and a high standard.

Lauren Kessing

Health  & Safety Coordinator
 

Lauren Kessing is the Health & Safety Coordinator at Leehan Construction, supporting project teams to maintain safe, compliant, and well-managed worksites. She helps develop and implement health and safety procedures, conducts site inspections and risk assessments, and works with supervisors and subcontractors to address hazards and improve onsite practices. She coordinates safety training and inductions and assists with incident reporting and investigations. Through her proactive and hands-on approach, she promotes a strong safety culture across all projects.

Rachel Li

Executive Coordinator
 

Rachel is our Executive Coordinator and Quantity Surveyor, supporting the executive team and managing day-to-day accounts for all Leehan entities. She prepares cost estimates, assists with QS tasks, tracks budgets, and supports contract administration to maintain financial control across projects. She also contributes to reporting and maintains clear communication with suppliers and subcontractors. Her precision, reliability, and strong commercial understanding make her a key part of our delivery team.

Site Foreman 
 

Leo is our site foreman, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. With extensive experience in site management, he leads on-site teams, coordinates subcontractors, and ensures all work aligns with project specifications and safety standards. Willie Choi

Formwork Foreman
 

Willie Choi is our Formwork Foreman with over 15 years of experience in structural concrete and formwork. He works alongside the Site Manager to lead formwork crews, coordinate day-to-day operations, and ensure every task meets the highest standards of quality and safety. With deep knowledge of in-situ concrete and foundation systems, Willie combines technical expertise with practical leadership. His clear communication and steady approach keep site activities efficient, productive, and consistently on schedule.

Mark Cleave

Carpentry Foreman
 

Mark is our Site Foreman with over 15 years of construction experience. Working closely with the Site Manager, he leads carpentry crews across all carpentry works, including interiors and finishes, and coordinates day-to-day site operations. Mark ensures all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety, supported by strong expertise in in-situ concrete and foundation systems. His clear communication and steady leadership keep site activities efficient, productive, and on schedule.

Jack Lee

Reinforcing Foreman
 

Jack Lee is our Reinforcing Foreman, managing all reinforcing steel works from bar scheduling and procurement through to installation and pre-pour inspections. He works closely with the Site Manager, engineers, and detailers to sequence activities and coordinate deliveries. With a strong focus on QA, Jack checks cover, spacing, laps/couplers, and detailing against drawings to ensure compliance and safety, resolving clashes early to deliver high-quality concrete finishes.
